Prologue
The Bible remains the best-selling non-fiction book in the world and it exists as the foundational truth for billions of individuals through many religious groups. Some groups or denominations that serve the same God, from the same Bible, confuse the foundational truths when they cannot find any parts of the Bible on which they can agree. This problem is common, but can be solved by knowing more about the Bible. Jesus Christ was born into a world that was so fanatical about the manmade traditions and trappings of religion that they did not know him, the main character of God's Book. The purpose of my book is to point out many of the basic truths of God's word that must be understood in order to serve God on his terms.
The Book of Genesis is under attack. Ironically, some of these attacks are coming from among the groups who claim to know God. Genesis introduces a knowledge of God that must be accepted by everyone who truly wants to understand the Bible. Reject Genesis and you reject foundational truth. I pray that each reader of this book will use the Bible to prove and confirm each statement, reading and re-reading the scriptures if needed, until it is clear to you.
Introduction
The Book of Genesis is definitely a factual account of God's creation of and initial dealings with humanity. The teachings of Christ stand on the reality of Genesis along with all of the Old and New Testament writings. The fall of Adam in Chapter 3 of Genesis established God's word of salvation that became flesh at John 1:1-18, and taught humanity what God requires from those who overcome the fall. Take away Genesis and the historical man, Christ, will cease to exist. The foundation of human existence, purpose, weaknesses, strengths and opposition are developed in Genesis.
The major themes of the Bible, faith, hope, works, grace, repentance, salvation, mercy, love and so on, are introduced and demonstrated through the lives of the people in Genesis. Genesis is like the legs that the whole body of Holy Scripture stands on. It cannot be seen or accepted as a poem or insignificant writings by anyone who truly wants to understand the Bible.
The study of fossils and archaeology has created yet another unnecessary confusion between science and theology. Scientists who claim their recent discoveries make the Bible obsolete contend with theologians who claim the Bible has to be infallible for salvation to exist. The earth was covered with water after God created life on earth and in the oceans, yet man has not explored one percent of the oceans. It's quite possible that there are many deepwater creatures currently in the oceans that mankind has not yet seen. I would not accept unknown fossils as prehistoric until I studied the fossils of every unknown life form in the oceans, the skies, and on earth in order to rule out the possibility that unknown sea or animal life got trapped on earth through the flood. Understanding my book and the Bible should help clear up some of what people call controversy.
The Bible says the earth was created in the beginning with the rest of the Universe. The beginning could have been millions, billions or trillions of years ago. The Bible does not deal with anything from that beginning until God prepares the existing, water-covered earth for life as we have known it over the past 6,000 years or so.
If life existed on earth before man got here, God created it. If legitimate scientists have found fossil evidence of life unknown to our times, it does not create a controversy with the Bible. The Bible never said that life did not exist on earth prior to mankind, and theologians who don't know this need to learn it. A controversy is created by opposite positions on an issue. The Bible only deals with mankind and what they need to get to the next level of existence.
After studying and understanding the Bible from cover-to-cover, I can't find a basis for controversy on this issue. If earth was used for other life forms over perhaps billions of years of existence, these life forms are not physically linked to mankind. The only connection would be the same God as Creator; there are no missing links related to humans. God made perfect originals for the human race.
The danger here is in forcing people to choose between theology and true scientific facts when there is no need to. True science has no facts that disprove God as Creator of all things and no logical scientist will accept theories as facts. The careful observer must make a distinction between true and false science, then govern themselves accordingly. The issue of human sexuality is on center stage in many countries of the world today. God made the original people of two genders; male and female. He blessed them with the power to reproduce by the seed carrier uniting with the fertile member of the pair that makes one set. He then commanded and empowered them to be fruitful and multiply. God determined the reproductive role of each person in the family and made it obvious by what you see at birth.
The access to and occupation of the earth by Satan and his demonic hordes has given them power to attack and confuse the sex organs of some humans, before birth, in a physical way. Some may have both sex organs while others have none. Contrary to popular belief, God did not do this. Adam let Satan in and he has altered the perfection established by God. Jesus Christ could see the demons of Satan literally living in people and creating adverse results in their lives as he cast them out and overpowered Satan in the first battle of the ultimate war.
Any human may have to live with physical or mental problems just because they live in an imperfect world or suffer from the trespasses of others and their imperfections. In a case where a child is born with dual or no genitals, it is not wise to make a value judgement on that most innocent one or the immediate people around them. Wisdom may demand that you examine Satan's motives for put ting such a weight on them. Do they have some talent that God has plans for?
I do not make the next statement as a medical professional, only a careful observer and, as such, a person might want to consider my suggestion at their own risk. If possible, the logical thing may be to, under the strict supervision of the best medical professional available, take time to allow the affected one to show through their actions what sex suits them best. Then, if medical science can provide surgical solutions, thank God for medical science and do the best you can. The person who has to go through this life with that condition should understand that they are not being punished for some sin they committed in life because they entered life with the condition. Satan did it.
Adam let Satan in and a lot of innocent people will have to find a way to get through this life with problems they did not create. The person who is blessed at birth with no physical problems, then decides God made an error by putting them in the wrong body, is choosing to create a different set of problems.
If Satan did not get to a person's body or mind at birth, that person must realize that Satan won't quit coming just because they are healthy. The struggle to keep Satan at bay is more difficult because Satan uses the power he gained over Adam to work through human flesh to gain his objectives. This is illustrated by Cain's situation in Chapter 4. The willingness of people to follow the lust of the flesh, the inspiration of some external influences and the raw power of Satan to tempt the flesh causes a lot of people to fall into lifestyles they cannot explain to God. God's destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah for their homosexual behavior is a most graphic example of how God ultimately deals with that issue. God's laws of sexual morality at Leviticus 18 are necessary reading for anyone contemplating and/or supporting homosexual activity. Leviticus 18:22 clearly calls homosexuality an abomination and verses 25 through 30 spell out God's condemnation of nations that condone this and the other named sins. The New Testament confirms the condemnation of this sin. In Romans 1:18-32, Paul shows the character traits of people who give in to the temptations of Satan and force God to give them up. The persons, groups or nations that choose to ignore God's revealed will and written law are forcing God to defend his name against them.
Both Bible history and secular history have proven that these socalled sexual freedom movements are, in truth, some of Satan's better angling efforts. Satan catches a few by line, then sends them into society with some good "woe is me" victim's story, a story that may even be played up in some dramatic way that makes people show tolerance for the sin and compassion for people living the sin. Satan uses some people as bait to condition the majority of a society to embrace a sin pattern that will allow him to fish through that society with a net. Multitudes of people who would never commit the sin will question, or even doubt God's authority to call it sin and destroy their souls in the process. The bottom line for this sin issue, and all other sin issues, is: continue to break the laws of acceptable human behavior and your society will eventually se lf-destruct. Add total disregard of the sacred directions for successful existence that come from the Bible, and your actions may force God to cut your society out like some cancerous growth that endangers His world. If people will apply the scriptures at Matthew 22: 37-39, and "love the Lord with all of your heart, soul and mind and thy neighbor as yourself," a lot of individual and societal problems will be solved.
