About the Author
Born and raised in Harlem New York, Lisa Alexander was the seventh and last child born to Jessie and Maxine Aultman. "My parents raised me to be financially literate." At the age of five Lisa would sponsor bake sales and treasured the idea of saving money.
Lisa Alexander is an alumni of Brooklyn Technical High School, received her Bachelors degree from Long Island University and a Masters degree in Taxation from the Washington School of Law.
She is the owner of Lisa A. Alexander CPA, a certified public accounting firm, an educator at Southern Westchester Boces and a volunteer for the Jr. Achievement program whose purpose is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives.
She is a 2001 recipient of the 25 Most Influential Black Women Award and proud mother of four-year-old Joshua and is married to Rev. Stanley Alexander of Word of Wisdom Ministries.
