About the Book

When a hit went out on his head by politicians and gang leaders, TRAVIS ALEXANDER left the Jamaican police force to come to the United States. He called BECKER, an old friend living in Miami. Startled at Becker's luxurious lifestyle, the clubs, the women, and the popularity, Travis decided that he didn't want to return to Jamaica. Travis left Miami for Springfield, Massachusetts for MARIA, a vacationing woman he met in Jamaica. But just when you think Travis would take it slow, he met CHARLIE, a big -time Jamaican drug dealer. Lured by the promises of easy money and easy women, Travis started dealing, pulling robberies and getting sexually active with a variety of beautiful women, which ultimately became his downfall.

He becomes a suspect in an armoured car robbery. The FBI released Travis after he promised them that he would help them retrieve the stolen money. He sent the FBI on a wild goose chase hoping they wouldn't find out that it was all a gimmick. Travis's saga becomes an ironic morality tale.

Travis was jailed for a crime he didn't commit, during which he became a suspect on an armory car robbery for the sum of $1.5 million. Travis's life and freedom was at stake and so he became a federal witness. He was released after promising the FBI that he would help them retrieve the stolen money, but he lied, he sent the FBI on a wild goose chase hoping they wouldn't find out he played them.

Travis, whose name later changed to SPRAGGA, decided that he had enough and was desperate to change his life. He meets NAOMI, the beautiful exotic looking woman he sworn would make all his dreams come through. He fell in love. But just when he got comfortable, again, Travis as jailed and prosecuted for another crime that his best friend PRESLEY, commits and puts the blame on him.

While incarcerated, Travis realized that everyone around him was only using him to do his or her dirty work, only to learn that he was also detained as a material witness in a murder trial. Travis's saga becomes an ironic morality tale.


About the Author

The author is hard at work on his debut novel Keepin' It Gangsta, which will be completed in late Spring, 2005.
