About the Book
RENDEZVOUS AT NO MAN'S MESA is the next installment in the accounts of those intrepid iconoclasts that cling to the belief that the individual is more important than proletariat. Dr. Mallory, is at it again, the sometimes professor, explorer, writer, rogue archaeologist, mystic, collector of the unusual, computer harcker and constant pain to those members of the Cult of Silence. The Cult of Silence is the shadow government that tries to keep the truth from the common man about UFO's, alien abductions, the crash at Roswell in New Mexico, secret treaties with alien abductions, experiments and just what really did happen to Elvis. Mallory leads a group of dedicated nihilists that wil lfo to any length to expose the truth while protecting a beautiful and exotic alien, The Royal Lady Lydia who has been trapped on this planet for over sixty years. She is protected only by Mallory, his friends and a phase shifting cat from the edge of the universe.
An old Hopi sky-watcher and day keeper finds that the Earth is threatened with immediate doom. The leaders of the government are hiding. Only Mallory, aided by his two loyal friends, Clyde Lindsey the lawyer that always seems just a bubble off of plumb and Ace the cowboy, pilot, chef and all around handy guy to have in a maladroit situation, must save the world from itself again and preserve Lady Lydia in the process. Haunted by a single sighted government agent, Carol Ann Hewitt, who will not give up, quit or retire until she has put Mallory deep underground because, as she says, ''He is telling the People the truth, that is why I must stop him.'' Their paths cross on No Man's Mesa in the great Southwest, which is a gateway to another world, where reality shifts a little to the left and where all of them must face their own fears as well other realities if they are to save the rest of us.
