About the Author Helen Shanahan was born and grew up in the Fiji Islands. She is married to Paul, a New Zealander, and they have lived in Switzerland for many years where they brought up their five lovely children. Helen's absolutely adorable grandchildren have been the inspiration for her poems and rhyming tales. The exquisite illustrations were done by the very talented Christophe Berthoud.
