About the Book
Following Wild Blue, Coleen W. Cain's second World War II novel, Glory After the War continues this gripping saga.
Paula and her husband, former USAF Capt. Garner Cameron, pursue their dreams of earning a living while continuing to serve their country in the freedom they so gallantly won.
The nation swoons under strikes, shortages, and rental hikes for its 12,000,000 returning vets. Stripped of housing, employment, and basic needs, Paula and Garner are determined for him to get his B.S. degree in Engineering under the G.I. Bill.
It is theirs to survive and revive the nation.
Paula gets pregnant. Working wherever possible, she is often hungry, always worried about her unborn baby. They have been through the war, but this time around, it is the woman who determines the outcome.

Excerpts
ADVANCE PRAISE FOR GLORY AFTER THE WAR "Although it is a work of fiction, Coleen Cain's Glory After the War reads like a superbly dramatic slice of history. She has the unique ability to probe the minds and emotions of her characters. Exhaustive research concerning the Second World War gives Cain's storytelling a distinct flavor. I eagerly await her third novel." - Lou Guzzo, Author (Former Managing Editor of the Seattle P-I and KIRO-TV Radio Commentator
"Coleen Cain's novel. Glory After the War, resounds with the authority of a survivor. The living memories of World War II have the power of oral histories. They need to be retold in creative ways. The book strives to preserve our freedom because readers will eagerly absorb the reality of historic events by identifying with the characters." - Helen M. Szablya, Author (Winner of George Washington Honor Medal Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge)
"Glory After the War is powerful reading. It encompasses an era and circumstances true to life from the female point of view. Cain has married the true events of history with a well-thought-out fictional narrative that there seems to be no doubt about whether it really did happen. A winner." - William B. Moody, Author (Major USA, Retired American Ex Prisoners of War)
