About the Author

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, when the city had orange groves that stretched for miles and freeways were few.

I began writing stories and poems at age 10. Following graduation from college with degrees in English and History, I worked as a technical writer for almost 12 years. I wrote scripts, workbooks, user guides, biographical articles and web pages. I receives a Masters of Library and Information Studies in 2002 and worked as a cataloger of books and realia.

I studied black and white photography in college, gradually switching to color slides as I became interested in local plants and flowers. I have wished for years to blend my talents in writing and photography. ABC starring Teddy and his friends is my first color photography book. It was inspired by the books I catalog at Cotsen's Children's Library. I plan a Teddy counting book as well as photographic cards.
