About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information
About the Book
This book covers four decades of the life of a man from rural Ireland. It spans the time he spent going to school, working on the farms, moving from country life into the city, and finishing up detailing his travels to Britain and the USA. This book covers the the trials and tribulations that he encounters and the many adventures that happened along the way.
This book chronicles over 60 different, and somewhat unusual, business enterprises that he pursued, most of which would have been a first in Ireland. The book also covers the ups and downs of some of these adventures, detailing market research, customer reactions, and the eventual outcomes.
Just remember that the title is Just Go and Do It, and that sums up nicely the driving force behind this man, always thinking and always doing something. The book also includes about forty short stories collected throughout the last few years, while he was working as a taxi driver in the Boston area.
Although some of the stories are sad, most are of the funny variety, and even the sad ones seem funny today.
Nobody ever died as a result of any of these adventures, so read on, enjoy, have a laugh and remember: Just Go and Do It.
About the Author
![]()
He came from rural Ireland, a man who, in the eyes of some people, never worked a day in his life; and to others, he never stopped working. From his school days to present day, he has lived a life of adventure, good times and bad, but never, ever down. He lived by the motto: 'Just Go and Do It' and this book is the latest product of this continuously-going man. He believes that 'if you have to think too much about it, it's probably wrong."
