About the Book

Partners Jennifer Watson, a lawyer, and Dave Randle, a former Marine turned private investigator, are employed to solve muggings and murders of residents in Wayside Retirement Village.

Evidence related to the murders point to an Health Maintenance Organization when they cancel contracts of clients as they reach the age of greatest need and cost. Following key clues, Dave sets a trap and with the assistance of a resident, catches the hired thugs and entraps the security guards employed by Wayside. Continuing investigation leads to the insurance company(HMO) and a prominent physician.

Dave's aggressive tactics often leads to violent confrontations and destroys his budding relationship with the attractive administrator of Wayside. Jennifer brings a less aggressive but effective style to bear on the cases.

While the partners maintain a professional demeanor toward each other, friends and acquaintances suspect there are romantic feelings on the part of both.
