About the Book

This is an easy to read book of young children's poems with colorful illustrations depicting each poem's story.

About the Author

Janet loves writing personalized poetry and draws her inspiration from the emotional events in her subject's lives. Be it a wedding, birth of a baby, the passing of a loved one or any poignant occasion, she always touches the hearts of the people involved with her work.

The children's poems just seem to come to her... it's almost as if she is a vessel to transport the words. It usually occurs during the wee hours of the night and she quickly has to jot her ideas on paper lest she forget them when the morning arrives.

Poems about love are another favorite of hers to write. She enjoys poems by Robert Lewis Stevenson, her favorite one being, The Land of Counterpane. She also takes pleasure in the work of the late Shel Silverstein, whose poems and drawings, in her opinion, are a sight to behold.

When she's not writing and wants to feel relaxed, she can be found playing the piano or reading a book on new age spirituality. She lives with her husband on Long Island.
