About the Book

As a young cypress tree grows he wonders what his Creator has in mind for him, because he believes God created him for a purpose. The young reader or listener will be pleasantly surprised as he or she realizes that this tree is going to be used to help a very familiar Bible character - Noah.

Neither the name "Noah" nor the word "Ark" is used in the story, so that children will recognize this familiar boat and boat builder only as pages are turned and events unfold. The text descriptions of the unidentified animals invoke the imagination to create visual pictures of the boarding of the boat. A delightful story beautifully written and illustrated. The tree concludes, "I knew that if I stood strong and ready, He would show me how I could work for Him."
