About the Book

A fun book to inter-act with children in a large groups or just one child. The storyteller and children are entertained right to the end of the story, with an unusual twist of fate.

The book is about Australian animals and their sounds, and trying to see one of the wonders of the world in Australia. The storyteller asks what Australian animal sound does this animal make. Prior to reading the book get the children to act them out in groups or individually. Some of the sounds are fictious. Then read the book to the children and when that animal is called upon to make a sound, the children who were practising the sounds will say it. The animal sounds come up quite often, so they best be on their toes.

Along with the sounds is an enlightening story that reveals kindness and caring shared among them all, caring about one another in good times and bad. Kitty-Kitty is the main character. The birds are flying above, but Ms. Kangaroo sets the tone and takes everyone on her back, tail and in her pouch to see the sights and sounds of Australia and one of the great wonders of the world, The Great Barrier Reef. How they overcome certain obstacles to see it. When they see The Great Barrier Reef and how they act, a twist in the story happens. No one ever thought this, luck was certainly on their side.

Experience a happy time with the book. HAVE FUN!

About the Author

I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, but now reside in Victoria, Australia. There was nine children my parents had, all living except one, she has also past away along with my parents who are now gone too...

As a young girl I loved to read, and would be in doors reading while other children played outside. I did like to play outside with my sisters and brothers, however reading to me was a lot more fun. Our family was very poor, and the shoes to get to the library was shared with my sister. My sister and I couldn*t go to the same place the same time because of our shoe situation. Though it was very far for a young girl to be walking alone and if I didn't have walking shoes for the day I was allowed to go, our bare feet is what we walked in. If I hungered for something to read sooner then the library time come up I'd go into trash cans to find any reading material. I was like a starving child looking for food, but it was books and magazines I wanted.

When us kids were very young our father took very ill and taken away from us at a very early age. This was indeed much more dismal then our poverty, however today I don't look at that time as dismal, but of enrichment to each and everyone in that household. We were young and full of beans. Someone going there and another doing that, never a moments peace for my mom. I was known as the information bureau for the family, and what stories I have put away to write.
