About the Book

Science attempts to systematically understand our world and the universe we live in. Theology had tried to do the same. The trouble was that when scientific discoveries showed that life and the world were different from what the church taught there was conflict. The conflict escalated as more was discovered that was at variance with the church's doctrines, (theories). Scientists had to work in secret and science became a discipline outside the church. Theology renounced science and science denied theology. A serious rift began each with their own theories.

The concepts accepted by religion are not quantifiable in conventional or classical scientific terms. As a result it is commonly accepted that science and religion are two disciplines not able to easily reconcile.

According to physics, energy creates; it destroys, and is the power behind everything. But still no one knows what energy looks like. String theory gets the closest to analysing it, but even to that specialised branch of physics "energy" still "just is".

"I am that I am," said God to Moses from a bush that was in flames but did not burn. The anthropomorphic God exhibited earlier in the Bible, in Genesis, has metamorphosed. God, in the form humans were supposed to be made in the image of, has changed appearance. To those who believe in God, He is capable of expressing Himself in any way and He is the power behind the universe.

The definition of "power" in science is the rate energy is produced or used. Everything relies on energy both initially and subsequently: it is a universal constant, it is the form energy takes that vary according to circumstance. Energy is within every cell of everything at sub-atomic level. It remains in everything at atomic level. It also manifests itself cosmically.

About the Author

After my husband died I became a working Mum and housewife bringing up three young children on my own. When my children were older I took a full time degree in Theology and Philosophy following it with private study and research into physics, chemistry and cosmology, which were relatively new subjects to me. After that I researched some history and archaeology. There were questions that had no satisfactory answers. This quest helped me to find answers.
