About the Author
Terrie Cousins-Brown was born in to a family that showed and bred Old English Sheepdogs under the Dorianblue kennel name and first came across the Polish Lowland Sheepdog on its arrival to the UK in 1985. She campaigned Fant z Kordegardy in Megsflocks of Dorianblue, a male from the first litter born in the UK.
Twenty years on, and with only a handful of litters bred, she now has champion PONs in Europe, North America, South Africa and the UK. The kennel name 'Dorianblue' is known worldwide and many of her PONs have appeared in international magazines and publications. Terrie judges the breed both in the UK and overseas and is often asked to send information or to present or help organize breed seminar and events.
In 2004, the kennel name, 'Dobrany', was registered. This was to represent an influx of a new generation of Polish bloodlines and in homage to Ch. Int. Ch Antrosu Dobrany from Dorianblue, who retired from the show ring in the same year at the age of ten. Her dogs now compete under the kennel name Dobrany or Dobrany Dorianblue.
