About the Book

My love for poetry, short stories and nursery rhymes gave me the idea for PORIESTM . They are inspiring, poetic stories, much like "Mary Had A Little Lamb", but with a twist of faith in God, our Creator. Many of the PORIETM characters are insects and animals (God's critters) from His creation such as butterflies, bumble bees, turtles, spiders and poodles, as you will see in this book. Some of the PORIESTM tell each critter's faith in Christ; others tell of a critter finding its way in life, the way God intended it to live, giving it His divine purpose. Combined with the adorable, fun-loving artwork, this book is an excellent way to talk to young children about God's creation and all His little critters. It is my hope and prayer that you will be blessed by both the poetry and the illustrations.

About the Author/Poet

Gina Wilson Ennis started writing poetry in 1976, at age 14. She is a member of a local poetry club and owns her own greeting card business. She is a native of Apex, NC, and lives there with her husband Jerry. She has one son, Kevin Wilson, who lives in Colorado.

Gina is an 8-year military veteran of the United States Airforce. She spent six months in the first Gulf War (1990-1991) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. When she received her order for this assignment, her son was 15 months old and it was one week before Christmas. She had only 2 days to prepare and say goodbye.

Eleven years later, it happened again, only this time, Gina's son left home at just 12 years old to live with his military dad in Colorado. It was through much prayer, her relationship with God, spiritual poetry writing, love and encouragement from her husband, and the companionship of Daisy, her toy poodle, that helped Gina accept her son's decision to leave. During this time, Gina was able to seek God's will and direction for her life.

Gina intends on making her PORIESTM and ''God's Little Critters'' a series. For more information, please visit www.godslittlecritters.com.
