About the Book

Erica Steven's life is shattered when she learns that her husband has suffered a fatal heart-attack, leaving her to raise their young son, alone.

Four years later, she meets Brad Storm, who brings a tempest of emotions into her heart, but there are complications: Brad's wife disappeared without a trace three years before.

Soon afterwards, Erica learns that her closest and best friend of 25 years, Scott Parker, is beginning to fall in love with her.

Erica explores her heart and tries to stand firm upon her convictions, though it becomes increasingly difficult when so much is happening in the lives of those closest to her, causing her further heartache and concern.

Will Erica plan a life with Brad, despite uncertainty, risking further heartbreak, or will she turn to the arms of the person she's known most of her life?

Book Reviews

"I just finished Emotional Impact. I relaxed with my book and didn't stop reading until I was done. Wow! Talk about engrossing! That was awesome!!!"

-Kiersten Rivers, Author Services Rep

"I'm only ten but I loved, Emotional Impact. It was heart-stopping. Sometimes it was hard to breathe and I'd have to put the book down, but I couldn't leave it. I'd pick it up and read again. The characters were like real people and I hated for the book to end! Now, I can't wait for the next book."

-Kelsey Budden

About the Author

Norma Budden-Aningat thinks of one word to describe herself; busy. She published three books during the last two years and continues to work full-time outside the home, while helping to raise two young daughters, Kelsey and Courtney.

She is a guest columnist for a Northern Canadian newspaper, Kivalliq News, which features "Norma's Corner", a column dedicated to spreading Christianity and instilling Christian virtues.

She has two web sites : www.livingadream.biz and www.normaspoetry.com, which she maintains and updates often.

Quite recently, Norma partnered with an American author, Michael T. Ingram and they plan to write several books together. According to Norma, "There is no shortage of topics to write about. We are constantly coming up with book ideas, which we put off for another time. We're presently working on two books, which we hope to have published by Summer 2005. The only handicap we face is having enough TIME, because Mike is very busy as well."

In addition to working on her own sites, Norma also helps Mike maintain his site, www.servejesusforreal.com.

Norma says, "To be a full-time writer is my dream, though I anticipate it will take a few years before that happens... so, in the meantime, I snatch every moment I can find to write, even if it's only for five minutes, even if only to answer an e-mail!"

Norma says she feels she is always writing, regardless of where she is. "There is always a story going on inside my head. There's always something someone wants to say, and as long as Mike and I can dream up characters, we'll write, and we hope you can take each journey with us.
