About the Book

This book offers a uniquely positive perspective of America, the war in Iraq, the Jewish Bibles, the U.S. Constitution, Religion, and the History of Humanity as History relates to the individual, where ever the millions of individuals may live. "Everything and/or nothing is sacred" is a root theme in this shocking expose of the Human condition and current world situation.

Built on a motivation towards developing a social/political system that is based on intellectual endeavors as opposed to military style behavior, "WHY DON'T PEOPLE LIKE AMERICA; A BOOK ABOUT AMERICA IN DENIAL" applies to all people everywhere in every nation when it comes right down to identifying the root cause of unhappiness and suffering in the world. All people on Planet Earth should be living at the current Upper U.S. Middle Class Standard of Living level regardless of the work they do; or so the Author believes.

Used properly, this book has tremendous potential as a foundation for an entire school of thought. In a manner of speaking, this sometimes hilarious, intellectually challenging, and sometimes emotionally tense book should be required reading for all high school seniors, and should be studied in every year of college to a higher/deeper level.

This book is more than just a set of words and color graphics arranged on pieces of paper. This book is a book of unique, entertaining, educational, practical wisdom. Do not be afraid of learning something you are not sure you want to realize or think you can not understand. This book is a seed that is engineered to produce overwhelming positive reactions for everyone every where.

Please don't try to judge this book by the cover, and KNOW this book is intended to bring good and better things into your life, if you apply the essence of this book to your life.

About the Author

Joseph was born in Indianapolis in 1953, the second child of Greek and English parents who raised six children (five boys and one girl). He collected empty soft drink bottles at age eight for the five-cent refund on the return bottle, mowed a few lawns, and started selling things like first aid kits, fruits and vegetables, labor services cleaning garages, doing small scale landscaping and selling newspapers at the Indianapolis 500 race.

His family was torn between the Catholic and Church of Christ religious practices and philosophies. Joseph had 13 years of Catholic education, the last being in a minor seminary, and he went on to earn a B.A. in Psychology with Honors from a well known university. He has published corporate securities documents, and ground breaking, statistically significant scientific research in a nine-language journal. Joseph has worked extensively in automotive related employment, starting as a mechanic, to performing complete restoration of antique cars, service management, parts sales, new and used car sales, distributor and manufacturer's sales rep, was a licensed stockbroker, insurance agent, hearing aid specialist, video producer, home builder, heavy equipment operator, and lives on a not so private nature preserve that he and his wife of 21 years built in 1995-97. Joseph was struck by an out of control automobile when he was a pedestrian in 1972, and almost lost his life; and has recently been permanently injured in another accident that was not his fault.

Joseph was invited to 5 different try outs with professional baseball teams, ran 20 miles in two hours and 10 minutes, has been an avid snow skier, scuba diver, ice & roller skater, motorcycle & bicycle rider, racing fan, and world traveler. He is a Stoic, a naturalist, enjoys music, art, continuing education, and his Spouse, Marjorie.

Joseph despises seeing the great masses of people suffer and struggle over money and freedom because of the lusts of a few people for "control" of the world's economic sub and surface structures. He is an eternal optimist, and is angered over the improbity of world politics, the media bias that deceives the masses, and the American legal system, which he says "is pathetic at its best." Joseph hopes the essence of this book will be realized by the masses and used as a building block for making a better world, despite the legal resistance of the law, and the efforts of those who allegedly "serve and protect" the masses.
