About the Book
When Allie's parents unexpectedly get divorced, she has to decide who she wants to live with - her mom or her dad. For her, deciding this will be the easy part. Allie chooses her mom and they move to Minnesota where a series of unexpected events - a drunken mom and a fire - change her life.
Allie can't find her mom after the fire and decided to return to Florida, her home state. Easier said than done. The actual planning and preparing has been easy but getting to the end will be the hardest thing to come yet.
On her journey Allie falls in love, finds a baby, which she must care for, and finds herself being chased by kidnappers. Her journey takes her further into herself than she could have ever imagined and tests her true courage, honesty, and love for her family.
An unexpected twist at the end will leave girls begging for more because Allie discovers the secret her parents have held from her ever since she was a baby. A request from her parents will send her and a special friend on another journey of their lives!
The first book of a hopeful trilogy, Allie's Journey tells the story of a young girl trying to discover who she really is, why she is in the world, and how she can figure it all out.
About the Author
![]()
Veronica Janczuk was born in Ontario, Kitchener of Canada on January 27, 1992. Her family moved to America when she was seven years old. Today she lives in Eagan, Minnesota and attends Black Hawk Middle School.
She says, "I'm proud that I have managed to get this far in my life. I could have never imagined publishing the first book of a trilogy at such a young age. this is as amazing to me as it is to everybody else out there."
Her advice to young writers is to never let other people's criticism get to you. If you don't like what they suggested, don't do it. If you like the writing, then it's good enough to make it to the big world! Never give up when it looks like everything else is lost.
Today, Veronica enjoys basketball, swimming, writing, reading, track, hanging out with friends, chatting on the phone, and going shopping.
"Being a writer doesn't change anything in your life. Everybody else is a writer. I am just a more luckier one." Veronica wants to make it clear that anybody can write if they want to. She could write, and was lucky because it got published. "There is no other greater difference." Her next book will hopefully be the sequel to Allie's Journey.
"Don't ever give up writers. You are the heart of the world!"
