About the Book

Fritzie's Big Surprise is about a VW Beetle's adventure in a classic car show in South Carolina. Grandpa takes his two grandchildren to a fancy car show, where Fritzie is surrounded by expensive cars. Not anticipating to win, Grandpa's hard work pays off and everyone is delighted by Fritzie's Big Surprise.

About the Author

Martha Nabors grew up round cars, as her father owned a Mobil gas station for 37 years. Though busy teaching at the College of Charleston's School of Education in South Carolina, she always finds time to attend car shows -- just like Fritzie's car show.

W. James Clees describes himself as an automobilist. A retired professor from the Citadel in South Carolina, Jim finds time to restore old cars like Fritzie and Midgee. He is currently working on a 1964 Corvair Monza. Jim is also active in local car clubs.
