About the Book

Lulu is a sweet little girl pig who lives on a farm. She has four hooves, but no shoes for them. She really would love four bright blue shoes! So she sets about her mission to find shoes. She asks the other animals on the farm-the rooster, the milking cows, and the wise animals like the owl where she can find shoes. The owl replies facetiously, "Pigs will wear shoes when pigs fly!" insinuating that Lulu should forfeit her fanciful notion of ever wearing shoes. Lulu takes the owl's advice literally and begins to fly! She finds her shoes on cloud number 9 in the sky!
