About the Book
![]()
The book describes the basics of the technology of textiles. Much useful information about processes and how they works for a better understanding. It has been translated from L'ABC du textilien, the "Bible for Textile" as some guys have named it. Marcel Côté had decided that this book was too useful and must be translated, then he did the job: a special thanks to him.
Sometimes, just an idea, a detail or a new point of view can save a lot of money for your company. From fibers to finished products, all aspects of the processes are described. It is also a good way to bring information to your employees for a better understanding of what they are producing.
The first section of the book covers fibers, yarns, knitting, and weaving. Another section covers all aspects of dyeing and dyes; Another large section covers the chemical and physical finishing. There are a lot of appendices, which give information, sometimes difficult to find elsewhere. Take a look at the table of contents.
