The Final Phase: Book One of The Struggle is the first in a three-part series.

It is not your typical alien looking to destroy the world but instead a species looking for a new world after theirs is destroyed; by no fault of their own.

It is a story not only about the struggle between the aliens and humans but of the struggle the aliens have with themselves in what they are doing.

It is a story about an alien species, changing a world for their own; its inhabitants fighting to stop them. As each side struggles in their quest to stop the other, they find themselves with more than just one enemy.

The hero, Mike Steele, treks through a landscape that no longer looks familiar but now resembles the Borelockian's home world. He finds himself going up against Morlock, the one overseeing the transformation of the planet; a Commander with his own hidden agenda.

An exciting story as the two sides battle it out; with twists and turns along the way and just when you think you have it figured out, it turns on you.

Since completing The Final Phase, I have had the pleasure of sharing with family, friends, and co-workers. The novel has been well received by all and to quote a few:

About the Author

My name is Michael Laberge and I am 37, born and raised in Montreal, Quebec and now residing in Mississauga, Ontario where I live with my wife of 12 years, Marcelle.

Throughout my high school years, I took pleasure in writing short stories that were enjoyed by my teachers. Upon leaving high school, I pursued a career in the military. Very quickly I realized that was not where I wanted to be. I then found myself enjoying a career as an airline mechanic. During this time, I continued to write short stories as a hobby and since others have enjoyed them, I decided to take a step further and wrote my first novel. While doing this, I have come to realize that I derive a great satisfaction from writing and I look forward to sharing this passion with others.
