About the Book

Whilst on summer holiday at his grandfather's house, Charlie Watts discovers a doorway into the past, a rip in the very fabric of time. He accidentally travels almost a thousand years into the past and finds himself lost and alone in a very different world to the one we know today. A world where people live and die by the sword and everyday life is a dangerous game of survival.

Charlie Watts is an ordinary boy caught in an extraordinary adventure. He faces mortal danger at every turn and becomes the central figure in a treasonous plot that, if successful, would change the course of history and plunge England into a terrible time of suffering.

Relying just on his wits and courage, Charlie might just have what it takes to survive and triumph against all the odds.

About the Author

The author has had a varied and interesting career. He joined the British Merchant Navy after leaving school and trained as a chef; working in some of the UKs finest restaurants. Then he took a career in sales which saw him start his own company and become the managing director of several others. Along the way he has also been a chauffeur, a shop worker, a factory packer, a fork lift truck driver and run his own decorating company.

A keen interest in archaeology and history, coupled with a love of writing resulted in Charlie Watts and the Rip in Time – his first action-packed novel for teenagers.
