About the Book

A robbery and shooting at a Los Angeles deli provides funding for two Japanese drug dealers. One dealer, injured in the fracas, dies during a 2,000 mile drug drop "run". They are chased by two detectives in a crazy triangle pursuit, ending in glorious San Francisco. The "getaway" driver is captured, but the lone Japanese dealer cashes in on a last buy, to drop off in Honolulu on his way home. He mugs an oriental deck hand and steals his identity. He takes his place aboard a container ship, leaving for Japan via Honolulu. The leading chase detective, Sam, is put on a special mission and seconded to the legendary Hawaii 5-0 police force. He is flown to Honolulu, to set a trap and capture the remaining dealer. Sam is injured in the shoot-out at the "drug drop". The dealer is also injured, but his run is well and truly over. Sam is honoured for his success and is persuaded to stay on and set up a "task force", to rid the Island completely, of a "Yardie gang", who have decided to set up shop and even start up a "crack" factory. Thirty five miscreants are captured and dealt with, in the process. Sam, now "Uncle Sam", prevails, but he is left with an F.B.I. sting in the tail. For auto buffs, Ferrari Testarossas, (with "swish-up doors) are used by Sam and the Island's immigration officer, Annee.

About the Author

Bill Yuille ran away from school on his 14th birthday. After being "DUX" boy in his Primary school, he was frogmarched into the Science and Language stream (French, German and Latin); he wanted Woodwork, Metalwork and Technical Drawing, rebellion was a natural consequence. He lived in a milk bottling and delivery dairy and preferred manual to mind work. Although he rose early, he finished early. He befriended a local house painter, who, way back in the early 50s, pioneered buying property to "Modernise" and sell on. These skills Bill used to self-employ and use till his retirement. He liked to write short stories and poems for his grand daughters up in his office in the attic. He has always gone on foreign travel holidays and one of these, repeated three times over the years, forms the route for the mad car chase around California and ending in Hawaii. Writing was used as a mental switch off from running his private business. Now, with time on his hands, he has decided to print.
