About the Book
This book is a black and white photography book depicting a mahagony rottweiler named Hanna Rose who went to her owner's bookshop 6 days a week to work in the back and keep her owner company as well as to greet her many fans. The bookshop, which was established in 1947 and sits on the main street of Venice, Florida, a fast-growing, but quaint tourist destination on Florida's Gulf Coast.
About the Author
Carol Heineman was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended the University of Louisville and the University of Ga and graduated from UGA with a BA in French. She is a serious student of foreign languages.
Carol has worked at The Bookshop since 1990 and does not read the Oprah books because they counteract her medication. She should have been selling tires all these years then she could've actually taken some money home.
This is Carol's family; Richard, Rebecca, Gabriel, Colin, Alec, Rick, Carriann, Elizabeth, Madison, Sarah, Phil, Lelia, Ethan, Amy and David.
The car is a blessing and a curse. Her family is the blessing that keeps on giving. They are precious to her.
A portion of the author's proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society and the All Faith's Food Bank.
Linda and Carol love their little Gulf Coast town of Venice, Florida; its history and people, its critters and beauty. Although there's been a lot of change through the years, Venice still retains its charm. They are collaborating on several new books about Venice.
PHOTOGRAPHER
Linda Smith was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended the University of Alabama, School of Nursing. Linda had a long-time interest in photography and her love of animals and children has found the perfect expression through her photography.
