About the Book

About the Author

Pam Moyers Scott is a certified physician assistant and owner of P.A.M.S. (Physician Assistant Medical Services). She earned her BS from Alderson-Broaddus College's Physician Assistant Program in 1983 and her master degree (MPAS) from the University of Nebraska in 1999.

She has always been an active leader in her profession. Over the years she has served on various local, state, and national committees and boards. Additionally, she was President of the American Academy of Physician Assistants from 2003-2004 and President of the West Virginia Association of Physician Assistants from 1991-1994.

She has lectured on various topics and the PA profession at teh collegiate, local, state, national, and international levels. She has authored numerous clinical articles. This is her first book.

For the majority of her career, she worked as a family practice physician assistant in rural West Virginia. She still resides there with her husband, Troy, and dog, Hooch.
