About the Book

Through an exploration of her own childhood experiences, Addy Rawlins discovers what is hidden inside her core and secondary Beliefs. She believes that the world is dangerous. She cannot trust. She feels alone. Sometimes, she even feels insane.

"Insanity defined is doing the same thing over and over and over again, yet expecting different results."

In unearthing, exposing and examining her core and secondary beliefs, Addy learns that early childhood trauma, inadequate nurturing and emotional neglect have affected her emotional and mental stability. She sees that she is still using outdated coping mechanisms that she learned as a child. She realizes that she is an emotional imbecile and that her outdated coping skills have kept her tethered to the past... unable to grow... stuck.

For the first time, Addy can actually see that her Core and Secondary beliefs are holding her back... restraining her... hurting her. Addy learns that she does not have to hang on to these beliefs. She can make choices. All kinds of choices. Choices in whether she wants to keep a Core/Secondary Belief or dispense with it. Choices in whether she wants to create, adopt or develop new beliefs that will help her, rather than hurt her. Addy discovers that she can change her entire belief system, perceptions, attitudes and behaviours. She knows where to begin to change her life... with herself.
