Author Dr. Hafeez Chishti is a registered professional geologist of Alberta who specializes in both hydrogeology and geochemistry. After securing his degree of PhD in 1999 from University of Leeds, UK, Dr. Chishti serves as an environmental consultant to the top ranking oil companies of North America for environmental risk assessment, hydrogeologic site investigation, site characterization, remedial solution designing and risk management at contaminated sites. His professional career includes several years’ experience of teaching physical and contaminant hydrogeology as an Assistant Professor at University of Punjab. Dr. Chishti is also experienced in the groundwater resource development, groundwater management and groundwater monitoring studies for agricultural, industrial and urban development. He is familiar with wide variety of research and analytical techniques used to monitor environmentally sensitive species. Dr. Chishti has contributed research on various environmental aspects in international journals of high repute.
