Sam has been anxiously anticipating a trip to visit his grandparent's. Sam's grandma always tells him, "When I see you I'm going to squeeze the stuffing out of you because I love you so much!" When the day arrives to prepare for the journey to visit grandma and grandpa, Sam enthusiastically helps his mother pack for the trip. He makes sure all of his favorite things are packed, especially his favorite stuffed pal. The trip seems long to Sam, and he can hardly sit still in the car. But, when he finally spots a giant landmark in the sky, Sam knows it won't be long until grandma will be squeezing the stuffing out of him!

About the Author

Nancy and her husband live in Iowa, the heartland of the Midwest. A retired school secretary, she now enjoys more time using her creative side. She has three grown children and four grandchildren. One of her favorite things to say to her grandchildren is, "When I see you I'm going to squeeze the stuffing out of you!" That whimsical saying led to the creation of a story about Sam, a young boy who is excited about going to visit his grandparents. She enjoys putting her thoughts on paper, especially writing in her daily journal.
