About the Book
Excel for Kids is a tutorial that teaches students in grades seven and up how to create eight exciting and fun real-life Microsoft Excel projects. Students follow the step-by-step instructions by themselves, at their own pace, and with minimal instruction and assistance from their teacher. Students will learn to create and apply financial, accounting, mathematical, and logical formulas to find real-life solutions to real-life problems. Students will also learn to format their spreadsheet projects to create a visually appealing and interesting appearance. The easy to follow step-by-step instructions are accompanied by screen shots showing exactly where students must click or input text. This visual approach limits the amount of text to read and concentrates on visual, interactive learning. The accompanying CD entitled "Excel Kids" contains the exercise files required to complete the projects and all the assignments.
