About the Book

For many years the author counselled discarnate lost spirits (ghosts) with the aid of a psychically gifted group. At one stage a trance-medium brought through the direct voice of the entities, and these sessions were tape recorded and are presented in this book. The lost soul was aided to understand why they were lost and helped to move forward to their spiritual home. For instance, "Funny-face" a young student who had been lynched for a crime he did not commit, railed against God for allowing this to happen, until he realized that Jesus, a good and innocent young man, had also been murdered. Resolution is invariably accompanied by the lost soul being met by loved ones who have pre-deceased them.

The most outstanding story is of Sheila, a prostitute in Melbourne in 1916 who died of 'flu. A voluble, cheeky and humorous entity, she presented extraordinary insights into the next life, and because she was so capable at using a medium through whom to communicate she came back to assist other lost souls.

For those who want to understand more, a chapter on the author's search for meaning, and one on the nature of inspirational writing and mediumship are included.

There is also a section on helping war dead, which would have meaning for the countless numbers who have lost loved ones that way.

While no attempt has been made to superimpose a system of beliefs, it becomes apparent that there is a Supreme Being who loves and forgives any who will accept these things, and who is forever reaching out to those in need. The author could not have undertaken this work without the inner assurance that this is so.

About the Author

Born in Yorkshire in 1929, the author grew up near London, and trained in social work at Southhampton University. Ruth was a lay preacher and very involved in church work. She worked as a probation officer in Hampshire until marrying John, a Methodist minister. With two children they emigrated to Australia where they settled in Tasmania. They had two more children. John then resigned from the ministry, feeling he was in the wrong vocation, and returned to journalism, his first career. Ruth discovered a gift as an inspirational writer and together they formed a group for the development and study of spiritual healing and related matters. (The body of these inspired messages are now presented on a web page, www.richardscripts.com) This led to rescue work, more commonly but inaccurately known as exorcism. Some of these rescues are recorded in this book.
