About the Author

Shawn and Lynn have been married for 13 years. They have two wonderful children and reside in Western PA. The inspiration from this book actually originated from their oldest daughter and her Grandmother, Carol, who would tell stories to Alex about a cute little bug. Alex named the bug Bugoo and the bug was born. Shawn and Lynn took these stories one step further for all to enjoy.

The illustrator, K. Michael Crawford, began to follow her dream as a Children's Book Illustrator in 1991 and wound up on an incredible journey that changed her life forever. Since that date, she has illustrated over 30 Children's Books, numerous illustrations for Educational Products and has won a number of Awards for her art. But the highlight of her career as a Children's Book Illustrator comes from the love and faces of the children she delights with her work.

In every brush stroke, she incorporates a magic in the whimsical and quirky characters she paints with a touch of humor. If asked about her work, K. Michael Crawford will tell you, "I couldn't find a better way to spend my life, because every day I get to laugh and be a kid with the work I do."
