About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information

About the Book

Ego Strip is a collection of contemplative comic strips about the author*s experiences with meditation, Buddhism and surviving brain cancer. Making art was greatly therapeutic after the cancer. Ammon poured the trauma of the cancer and surgeries out onto the pages of sketchbooks. He came face to face with impermanence when his life-meter flat-lined three times in the second brain surgery. This has deepened Ammon*s spiritual journey and his wish to share his healing with others. This book contains excerpts from his spiritual/healing journey*s sketchbook diary. May it inspire you on your journey.

About the Author

Ammon Dowouis is a 35 year old dharma brat and 11 year brain cancer survivor.
