About the Author

Robert Morrison was a ships Master for 45 years. Of course, when one applies that to the mighty Lake Superior, one must realize a year's operation is only four months long. His winter months, from 1960 through 1986, were spent teaching mathematics. He had the usual part-time jobs one holds when first making ones way in the world. A stint behind a bar; several years as a disc jockey in the 50s; a year sacking charcoal, and the U.S. Navy had him for 3 years 3 months and 26 days. (He loved that one!) After retiring twice, he ran his own business for 7 years, retiring for a third time only when the old ticker gave out. Now, just for something to do, he's writing novels. This is his second novel. The third Jayne Rice Adventure is in the computer.
