Kathryn M. Snelson (affectionately known by her students as "Mrs. KMS"), of Southern California, is the daughter of a bishop, a loving wife, the mother of two adult children, and a world traveler. From a very early age, she has always enjoyed working with and helping youth. For four years, she worked as a high school teacher in Georgia. For thirty years, she worked as a secondary school guidance counselor in California. After retiring, she worked several years as a substitute teacher of grades kindergarten through 12.

From her early youth, this visionary woman of God has always worked with young people in various church ministries. In both school and church, she has worked as a chaperone for youth on numerous educational excursions and as an advisor at youth camps.

When not involved directly with youth, "Mrs. KMS" enjoys gourmet cooking, completing word puzzles, browsing through museums, and strolling barefoot on the beach year-round.
