About the Book

This book is a fun way to help kids (and adults) think about what kind of pet they would like to have, without actually owning one. It gives kids a chance to see what is involved in owning a pet, and what could happen if they tried to "tame" an unconventional animal. There are also poems that deal with issues concerning the well being of animals, and how we need to preserve their natural habitat. kids and adults alike will find these poems funny and inspiring at the same time. It is really a great book for everyone!

About the Author

Born and raised outside of Detroit, I still live close to home, with my husband, two great kids and our Bassett - Checkers. Growing up, I always liked animals, drawing and art. I was inspired to write this children's book, when my son needed a poem for school. I started with one, and kept on going. I hope you and the children in your life enjoy the poems as I have enjoyed creating them.
