About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information

About the Book

The symbol on the cover is from the allegorical ancient Egyptian hall of judgement where the heart is put on a scale and weighed against a feather and the results are measured by Anubis the guide of the dead and recorded by Thoth the scribe. The unjustified are devoured on the spot and the good are presented by Horus the devine son of Isis to Osiris the God of the underworld (heaven). This symbol was adopted by the United States justice system. Many of the symbols used by our government were adopted by the masons who conceived the ideas of liberty and the separation of Church and State using many Egyptian ideas like the eye of Heru over the pyramid and the emblem of Heru on the back of the dollar bill. The Washington monument is and obelisk from the symbolism of Egypt. The Linncoln memorial is like the temple at Karnak with a reflecting pool. To understand history, a study of how things came to be, it is good to learn of African concepts that gave birth to Moses and divine law. Herodotus, an early Greek historian, who traveled to Egypt, gives credit to the wisdom from the cradle of civilisation.

About the Author

Everyone who writes poetry is a creative artist with imaginative and expressive capabilities and a special sensitivity to the art form. If we are in tune with our creator we know of the rules that guide common sense. No words written by man are holy and survive on merit. There is the golden rule do unto others as you would have them do unto you and the law of karma we are rewarded in the after life for what we do in this life. We reflect mental images of our abstract ideas and reality that is like a picture we paint as a creation of our imagination.
