About the Book
Two thousand years ago, Jesus of Nazareth taught the people of Palestine the way to live successfully. Four individuals recorded the life and the message of Jesus in their books now known as the Gospels. The four books form part of the 66-book Bible, the Scriptures of the Christians. The message taught by Jesus was lost with time and is drowned in the teaching contained in the other 62 books of the Bible. The objective of this book is to remind the people of the world what Jesus taught two thousand years back, as his teaching is relevant even today in making people live truly successful.

Excerpts
1. Any religion urges its adherents to worship God. The people spend a lot of time pondering over the greatness of God, without even trying to understand what God wants them to accomplish in their lives. It is true that there are many aspects of God and his kingdom that we do not know. Most of these aspects we cannot comprehend while we are still on earth, and so one can spend (or waste) his entire lifetime trying to understand God and the mysteries related to him. The religion is happy about it. On the other hand, Jesus taught that one can have intimate and affectionate relationship with God even without understanding God fully. Many aspects of God and his kingdom, that we need to know, have been revealed to us through Jesus of Nazareth. The reader is directed to study the gospels for more information.
2. Thus, by equating a sin (violation of the Law of Moses) to a non-sin, Jesus invalidated the sanctity of the Jewish Law. This stand of Jesus implied that the Jews trying to live according to the Law is an exercise in futility.
3. Towards the end of his ministry, Jesus of Nazareth promised his disciples that he would request God to send a holy spirit to reside with each one of the disciples forever. Jesus also referred to him as Spirit of Truth and Counselor [Jn 14:16-17]. The function of the Counselor is to remind his disciples what Jesus taught, and to teach them all things [Jn 14:26]. What a wonderful privilege to have with us the Spirit of Truth who reminds us what Jesus taught, and teaches us all that we need to know! The Counselor does not speak of his own, but what he hears from God [Jn 16:13]. The Counselor may even foretell you what is to happen in the future.
3. Women came in large numbers to listen to Jesus [Mt 12:49, Mk 3:34]. Jesus taught the secrets of the kingdom of God to women as well. He considered them as important people in the kingdom of God. Bethany is close to Jerusalem and Jesus used to visit Bethany during his visits to Jerusalem. He was fond of a family in Bethany – two sisters Martha and Mary and their brother Lazarus. The Gospels tell us that Jesus used to teach Mary the truths about the kingdom of God [Lk 10:38-42], as she was interested in knowing. On another occasion, while Jesus was traveling from Jerusalem to Galilee, he was passing through Samaria. There he met a woman near Jacob's well. There he shared with her the knowledge of the kingdom of God [Jn 4:3-42].
4. Jesus calls the children of God as the children of light [Lk 16:8, Jn 12:36] or the children who have the knowledge, because they know about the existence of the kingdom of God. They also experience the guidance of God in their day-to-day life. They do not stumble like other individuals, as they are walking in the light with God showing them the direction [Jn 11:9-10, Jn 12:35-36].
5. John begins his Gospel stating that ‘In the beginning was the word.’ John refers to Jesus as the word [Jn 1:1]. In this passage John portrays Jesus as the word of God, who existed with God in the beginning. Thus, one of the main roles of Jesus is that he is the spokesperson for God [Jn 7:16, Jn 8:28]. The twelve apostles of Jesus acknowledged that Jesus has the words of eternal life (or the words that lead to eternal life) [Jn 6:8].
