About the Book

God never stops taking us to new places and to Green Pastures. Once SECRET GARDEN OF PSALMS AND POEMS was published, I felt that I had finished with another new place in my life. But now I learn that I may be just beginning. Ideas for poems kept coming to my mind, but I couldn't seem to get them written; it didn't seem to be the time. Apparently God had other ideas.

I began to toy with the idea of writing a poem/story about Job. With surprising ease, the words began to come. And once Job was taken care of, so to speak, all the other germs of poems suddenly began to take form and I could hardly keep up with the transcribing. The paintings once again seem to connect somehow. The important thing to me about WORD BY WORD is that it is talking about God's Word - always alive, always working, always moving us from our ruts to new places - not always comfortable, but certainly interesting. So here is my offering to you of how God's Word works in my life - even when I'm not aware.
