About the Author

After serving with the United States Army in Viet Nam (1966-1967), Marty Wicoff returned to school.

While attending Colorado State University in Ft Collins, Colorado, he was attracted to a radio career.

Marty stared as the afternoon-drive "disk jockey" and progressed to assistant manager. He especially enjoyed creating and producing commercials for radio station advertisers, along with performing most other aspects of the radio business.

Faced with the opportunity to become general manager and part owner of a "sister" radio station in another state, he opted to stay in Colorado.

Marty had his won residential real estate business in Colorado followed by "doing his own thing" in Arizona selling small businesses.

HIs focus now is on the Mister Weird Beard project to entertain kids and participate in creating life-long, fun memories ( through DVD recordings) for as many children and their families as possible.

Marty and his wife, Shirl, a gifted public school teacher, reside in Goodyear, Arizona (a suburb if Phoenix).
