About the Book

This book is a collection of sermons I have preached since God called me to the ministry. the most overarching message in my preachings is for Christians to take one day at a time, being anxious for nothing, and to be doers of God's Word (Philippians 4:6; James 1:22). I cannot begin to emphasize how important these sermons tell us that if we obey God's word, then we demonstrate to God and the world that we love Him. Jesus said himself, " If you love Me, keep my commandants... He who has My commandants and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves me will b loved by M Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him" (John 14; 15, 21). As we do what God has commanded us to do, He is the only one who can change our circumstances so that he can perfect us.

This collection of sermons not only has helped, and can help the unsaved to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior where Christ becomes the one and only Master over their lives, but these sermons have helped and can help Christians to walk more fully in the blessings of God.

As I preached these sermons over the years, I have seen miracles manifested in the lives of individuals who accepted Christ as their Savior and continued to obey His word. The word of God is our personal treasure map, directing us along the spiritual route to true prosperity. Most people believe that prosperity is only material wealth, but this collection of sermons informs us that if we trust Christ and demonstrate our love of Him through our obedience to His word, prosperity in its truest form is practicing and living in the presence of God. What GREATER prosperity could we experience?

These sermons do not demean material prosperity, but, as a minister of the Gospel, I want individuals to know that spiritual prosperity is much greater than material prosperity. After all, Christ warned us "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink nor abut your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?... But seek first he kingdom of God and hIs righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:25, 33).

If we spend our time seeking God's will for our lives, He promised that we would not have to worry about the things we need in the natural realm in order to survive.

This collection of sermons emphasizes that we should live one day at a time and be doers of God's word. By doing so, we will experience true prosperity by practicing and living in the presence of God.

About the Author

George D. Johnson resides at 916 Cherrington Drive, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17110.

He was born on January 23, 1928 and was married to Maybelle adams Johnson for 36 years until her death in July 2002. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and attended St. Joseph's College, Institute of Industrial Relations.

Mr. Johnson worked for the United States Department of Labor for twenty-two years as a Labor Relations Specialist until his retirement on June 1, 1987. Moreover, he belonged to the United Steelworkers of America (AFL-CIO) and worked as a Labor Columnist for the Philadelphia Tribune. He was also president of the Local Union 2948 American Federation of Government Employees for sixteen years. Beyond this, he was an instructor of Labor Studies at the Pennsylvania State University at the Delaware County Campus.

Mr. Johnson is an ordained Christian minister and was interim pastor for one year at 1st Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Johnson is also founder and president of Light of the Savior Ministries. Light of the Savior Ministries is a non-denominational Christian organization that shares the teachings of Christ with individuals of all walks of life. Light of the Savior Ministries also provides counseling in the principles of Christian living and aids the poor through financial assistance and guidance.

Mr. Johnson enjoys music appreciation and computer sciences. His favorite hobbies are football and baseball. He is also the author of "Except For The Grace" which is his personal autobiography.
