About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information

About the Book

This book of poems and songs were written for the purpose of giving honor and glory to God.

For the past three years the spirit of God has inspired all of these poems. They had to have five ingredients. Number One: they had to tell a story. Number two: the story had to be about the Lord. Number three: it has to rhyme. Number four: the story must touch the heart. Number five: they must be true to God's word as written in the bible.

The poem below "A Bouquet of Love" was written to my wife on our 55th wedding anniversary. Many of these poems were taken from my life as a boy and one of these is "Mama's Old Rocking Chair"

I hope this book will fill your heart with honor to Jesus Christ our only hope and our salvation.

About the Author

I am 77 years of age. I was born in Jacksonville Florida and raised in a Christian home by two loving parents, which today is almost unheard of. I went to public schools and had great techers.

I served in WWII and also the Korean War. I was drafted, but did not run to Canada to hide. I served my country with pride. I found the Lord at an early age in the arms of my wonderful mother.

I served the Lord as minister of music for many years. I taught Sunday school and served as Deacon. Only in the last few years has the Lord blessed me with this gift of writing poetry. I use it only to give praise and Glory to His holy name.

This is all about him. I want nothing for myself and all profit will be spent on his work -feeding the hungry and helping the helpless.
