About the Author
![]()
Jim is a professional who has spent his career in various areas ranging from the bomb squad, to sales, to plant management, to the "Dilbert" world of information technology as a CIO. Along the way he has nurtured his love for cartooning and humorous writing and has found a way to share his hobby through the Random Day cartoon panels and his book, Teenagers and Other Black Holes. Jim has been married for over 25 years, has two children, three dogs, and one very nervous cat. Let's just say that book and cartoon ideas have not been a problem.
Random Day cartoons are created by Jim Poole and are drawn in the old-fashioned, paper and ink medium using simple lines to convey how he sees the humor in this whacky world of ours. His characters are unique and simple, yet you can find a little of someone you know in every panel.
