About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information About the Book
Brucie Finds a Friend is the first in a compelling series of children's fiction storybooks, which has an educational element to encourage children to read. The simple but creative questions at the end of the story builds the child's confidence and interest in reading books and also provides a valuable insight into the child's understanding of the book. With beautiful illustrations this book makes a lovely read for young children.
Brucie has no brothers or sisters he can play with, so he is quite grumpy until his mother cheers him up with a trip to the zoo. Brucie is really excited and can't wait to go. He decides he is going to find a friend at the zoo. He tries to copy the animals so that they would be his friends but after many failures, and remembering what his mother had whispered to him, when he least expects it, he finds a true friend called Barnaby.
This is a truly inspirational story with an underlying message to help children make new friends. It is the first book in a series to be published called the 'Brucie and Barnaby' series.

About the Author
I live in the heart of the Cotswolds with my husband and five beautiful children. I adore writing, not only children's stories that have a special meaning or message to them, but also poetry and articles too. I write for playgroups, schools and childminders and my stories also make beautiful reading at home. All children are special so my books particularly encourage children to be themselves, but also doing what is right wins in the end.
