About the Book

This book comprehensively treats the important aspects of Financial Accounting. The topics treated are mainly those transactions that do not occur often. They are special transactions, that is, they occur in a business once in a while.

From personal experience, this aspect of accounting poses problems for many students (especially the beginners). Efforts are made to simplify the principles involved in each of the topics.



About the Author

Dare Adekunle is a Nigerian national, a graduate of Geology and a Chartered Accountant. He taught Mathematics and Principles of Accounting in secondary schools for many years. He was a Accounts clerk with Shell-BP Petroleum Development Co. Ltd from 1974 to 1976. He has been a part-time accounting lecturer in different higher institutions in Nigeria. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He has also held the position of Finance/Administrative Controller in different organizations.
