About the Author
Raised in a small town in the shadow of the Olympic Mountains in Washington State, Matt Heines grew up with two things on his mind. The first was getting out of that town as quickly as possible and the second was adventure. He served in the army from 1982-86 as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. After graduating from Washington State University in 1991, he moved to Alaska where he obtained a Masters degree from the University of Alaska. He has travelled extensively. At the time of this book's publication, Matt was teaching English to the Saudi Arabian National guard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. There's no telling where he is now.
