About the Book

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ" is a comprehensive, verse-by-verse workbook study of the book of Revelation, based upon years of study. The title of the book is based on Chapter 1, verse 1. Jesus is the one who is being revealed. In Revelation He is revealed as High Priest, Judge and coming King. John, the apostle, is the human author but he is not the one being revealed. This study, with the answers in the back of the book, can be used for private, individual study or it can be used in a group setting. It takes approximately 40-50 hours teaching time. It is a good study for anyone interested in the second coming of Jesus and the events surrounding that occasion.

This study has a lot of cross-references, which should be looked at because all scripture must be understood in light of other scriptures.

While writing this study for a small women's group back in 1988-89 it was just me, my Bible, one commentary, pen, paper and a whole lot of prayer. I still find it difficult to comprehend how God used me to do this. It is true that God is more interested in our availability than our ability and when He has a job for us to do He grants us His grace gifts and provides the wisdom and the tools to accomplish what He has given us to do.

Selkirk Author's New Book WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?

In this day and age, with all of the problems facing the world, do you ever wonder what the future holds?

God has given us a glimpse of the future in His Word, in the book of Revelation. Jesus, Himself, is the subject and the focal point of this book. He is revealed as the Righteous Judge, who, because of His righteousness, MUST judge sin. God has promised a special blessing to anyone who "reads and keeps the words of the book" of Revelation.

Peggy Hoover's just-released workbook study guide "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" will help in your understanding of this most fascinating book. Peggy's manuscript is a clear, concise verse by verse study that can be used for personal use or in a group setting. In her lesson book, Revelation is looked at in the light of other scriptures.

Peggy (nee Park) is a fourth generation resident of Haldimand. She was born and raised in Hagersville and resides in Selkirk. Her ancestors owned and operated a local general store for three generations.

About the Author

I became a Christian when I was about seven years old, under the teaching of Miss M.M. Haller, at her Saturday morning "kids club" called Live Wires. I sat under her tutelage anywhere from 1-3 times a week; from the time I was 5 years old until I was 21. I first heard Revelation taught by her when I was a teenager and was fascinated by the signs of Jesus' second coming.

I wrote this study in 1988-89 for a women's Bible study group at Christian Chapel in Selkirk, Ontario. Praise God for such a gift!

I am a 55-year-old housewife. In November 2007 my husband, Doug, and I moved to a gated adult-living community called Black Creek Leisure Homes in Stevensville, Ontario, Canada
