About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information About the Book
This book is a collection of shared recipes. Some new and some passed down from generations. It was originally written as a gift for her son and his new wife. As she was writing out the "often requested" recipes, she remembered all the special times she had with her Mom in the kitchen. She added some quotes and stories that inspired her and the book was born.
The recipes are all easy to make from ingredients most cooks have in their cupboards or pantries. They require little time and effort and have been enjoyed by many.
The inspirational stories and quotes have been selected from the writings of some of her favorite authors and teachers.
The book is intended to not only share recipes, but to share what she found to be encouraging and helpful. It is a book that helps feed the body, mind and soul.
About the Author
![]()
Bev lived with her husband, John, in Victoria BC on beautiful Vancouver Island. She had three children, a daughter-in-law and son-in-law and three wonderful grandsons. Bev grew up on the prairies and in Northwestern Ontario in a very large family of 11 children. Bev said she had been blessed to have been taught to cook by the best, her Mom. Bev passed away suddenly in August 2005 and had been looking forward to the publication of her cookbook as a major accomplishment and a chance to share her love of family, cooking and most of all her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her friends and family miss her very much and treasure this book as a tribute to her memory.
