About the Book

This book focuses on two corporations that were awarded Department of Defense contracts in Iraq and Kuwait, Halliburton and it's subsidiary, Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR). After reading this book one can understand the magnitude of corruption by contractors and Government officials. Vice President Cheney, former CEO of Halliburton, was involved in awarding a contract to Halliburton, as a result, Halliburton and Kellogg Brown and Root committed fraud and mismanagement in an egregious and profane manner. Audits reveal that Halliburton & KBR failed to document and justify 42 percent of all invoices submitted to the government for payment services. After months of disputing the issue, Army officials paid nearly 2 billion dollars to Halliburton for undocumented services. The decision to pay for undocumented services is a violation of law and the Army General that approved the pay should be Court marshaled, however, the General is a puppet of the Bush administration, he is told what to do.

Since Cheney's previous involvement with Halliburton as CEO and is now Vice President of the United States, almost all government or Army officials will not dare step forward when laws are violated and expose fraud and corruption for fear of retaliation and losing their job. At the present time, there is one exception, one high ranking government official reported violation of laws in the award of the "Restore Iraqi Oil" contract to Halliburton and exposed other fraud and corruption associated with the contract awards. In so doing, has retained the services of a lawyer, which is necessary to protect her rights and not be fired or demoted. It is a sad situation when someone obeys the laws and performs their job in an outstanding manner, must hire a lawyer for their own protection.

Corruption begets corruption and corruption can be found at the highest levels of government officials. It is no secret that Cheney is protecting Halliburton, audits and investigations have confirmed fraud, overcharging, mismanaging, lying and other unscrupulous acts and no action has been taken to recoup monies and terminate the contract. Army officials are aware of the egregious fraud and mismanagement by Halliburton and Kellogg Brown and Root but are powerless to do anything because it would jeopardize their career.

There have been more than 10 Government investigation and audits, including the FBI, in regard to Halliburton and Kellogg Brown and Root's Iraqi and Kuwait contracts. Yet no one will do anything about the wrong doing, not even Congress. The investigations and audits positively identify fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and violation of laws. Politics are involved, and the politics that allow Halliburton to unlawfully gain billions of dollars are harming all segments of American society by depriving the United States Treasury of billions of dollars that would benefit everyone.

Was the was in Iraq orchestrated by Dick Cheney? Many believe that he was the mastermind in planning and executing the war. The decision to topple Saddam Hussein from power began in 1997, six years before the invasion of Iraq when Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton Company. Cheney is known as the founding father of the "Project of the New American Century" (PNAC), the project that is a right wing think-tank that advocates U.S. domination through the use of force and believes in and promulgates a doctrine of force, rejection of the rule of law in international affairs and United States supremacy. Group members of the Bush Administration include Donald Rumsfeld, John Bolton, Paul Wolfowitz, Lewis Libby, Elliot Abrams, Richard Perle and several others. Many members outside the Bush administration include Jeb Bush, William Kristol and Zalmay Khalizad.
