Michael Nepstad has been a lifelong amateur entomologist, always taking time to watch ants, chase butterflies and look under rocks. He has lived all over America and currently resides in California with his wife and son. He is an environmental biologist, an avid gardener and a backyard orchardist.
With his wife's interest in art, they were able to put this book together with her colorful illustrations. He loves to read stories to his son, who shares his father's fascination with insects and enjoy watching his mother trim weeds with the weed-whacker. This story was invented by the author to help his three year old son overcomehis fear of bees and weed-whackers, and it actually worked!
